South Fork Lodge is located in the southwestern portion of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem on the South Fork of the Snake River in Swan Valley, Idaho. Set amongst canyons, rolling meadows, ranch lands, and National Forest, the area is characterized by superlative wildlife and recreational opportunities. The South Fork of the Snake River supports the largest native cutthroat trout population outside of Yellowstone National Park and is known as one of the best dry fly fisheries in the United States. The region is home to 126 bird species, and 260 wildlife species, such as moose, elk, deer, bear, and mountain lions making for perfect safari opportunities.

The Lodge is 45 miles west of the Jackson Hole and Grand Targhee Ski Resorts offering some of the best alpine skiing in the country. Other winter activities include snowmobiling, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, heli and cat skiing, and sleigh rides. While winter adventures are impressive, the area boasts miles of public trails for hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking along with whitewater rafting, fishing, and golfing options during the summer months. While the focal point of South Fork Lodge is the ability to be immersed in nature, the Lodge is a convenient 45 minute drive to the town of Jackson, WY and Idaho Falls, ID providing excellent opportunities for shopping, dining, arts and entertainment. Both towns host international airports within and hours’ drive.
